It's Apple Time!
I am convinced that we have the loveliest apple orchard around. I can't say enough about how wonderful the apples are (Honeycrisps are our family favorite!) and the home-baked goodies are seriously out of this world! Emmett's also has a charming gift shop full of fabulous fall delights.
The owner, Rachelle, gave Shannon's first grade class such a fun tour the other day. The kids got to be out in the crisp, fresh air in the beautiful orchard, learn all kinds of neat facts, pick some apples, see the cold storage, find out how cider is made, and, of course, drink some cider and eat the most delectable apple raisin cookies - yum.
In anticipation of the field trip I made this apple card. Shannon gave it to her teacher, who had all of the kids sign it, then gave it to Rachelle as a thank you for the tour.
